The Vidyalaya is located in the AIR FORCE Area at Majumdar lines in the rear of Military Hospital and at a distance of 3 km from Ambala Cantt. Railway station and General Bus stand. The Vidyalaya has been started in the month of NOV 1964 with a single section which has been expanded to 5 section school in the month of April 2003 with facility of Science, Commerce and Humanities streams i class XI and XII. There are about 100 regular staff members excluding part time teachers , coaches in Games, Sports, Art and Craft, Dance and Martial Arts. The enrollment exceed 2500 students.

About Library

A marvelous collection of around 11107 books and non book materials (including CDs,DVDs, online electronic resources), this library procures 19 periodicals and 07 newspapers every month. It’s reading room left special impact on user’s mind because of beautiful seating arrangement of teak wood furniture. Textbooks,series of encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesaurus, yearbook, almanacs, four Vedas, more than 100 biographies of eminent personalities, subject reference books, old board exams papers are few illustration of droplets of this knowledge ocean.A conducive environment from administration side is always assured to users. Reprographic facility is provided to users for their project works, exhibition time free of cost. Bar coded circulation system of lending documents enhances the use of this collection.

The Vidyalaya Library is centrally located and is an air conditioned building having 1000 sq. feet plinth area. It has seating capacity of 75 users at a time with cushioned chairs. The Vidyalaya Library has a rich collection of 11107 books in the stream of Sciences, Commerce and Humanities too. Additional books such as Knowledge books, Biographies of great leaders, reference books, writing of great authors in Hindi and English are also available in library. Library has an exclusive collection of around 2000 books for primary classes. The Library is automated with e-Granthalaya Software.
